Career and Technical Education Teachers in the School District of Manatee County are setting a strong example for their students by getting an industry certification credential. Industry certification is in addition to teacher certification required by the State of Florida. Teachers who hold an industry certification credential not only set the example for their students, their industry certifications are calculated in the formula for the school grade Certifications identified by Workforce Florida have been paired with Career and Professional Education (CAPE) academies. Getting Teachers Industry Certification.
Application for Industry Certification Mini-Grant - This program provides an opportunity to learn the latest techniques to develop, sequence, and manage instructional events and activities to promote student learning. Focus will be on effective planning and implementation of new instructional strategies, measurement, and documentation of student achievement. Teachers will receive six hours of credit for each unit completed. This training is available in both a facilitated training and a non-facilitated e-learning program available 24/7
